‘MY PEACE I LEAVE WITH YOU
(John 14:1 & 27, Phil 4:6-7).
As Jesus prepared to leave His disciples, He showed compassion and gave them an extraordinary gift – “His peace.”
He said, ‘My peace I give you; I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not be afraid.’
Jesus knew that a troubled, weary, and fearful heart is vulnerable to the devil’s influence. It quickly becomes the devil’s workshop.
Paul echoed this understanding, writing, ‘Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
