FANNING THE FLAME
“For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you…” – 2 Timothy 1:6 (NIV)
The fire of God in your life is not meant to burn low. It is designed to grow brighter and stronger on a daily basis.
But every fire, no matter how powerful at first, requires fuel.
Paul reminded Timothy to “fan into flame” the gift of God.
This tells us something crucial: spiritual passion must be intentionally cultivated because when Left unattended, even the strongest fire will eventually grow cold.
Distractions, complacency, and life’s pressures can suffocate your spiritual hunger if you’re not watchful.
Fanning the flame means making daily choices to prioritize your relationship with God. It’s about prayer when you don’t feel like it, worship when the heaviness tries to settle, and reading His Word even when your schedule is full.
