THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD
( Psalm 23:1)
The job of a shepherd is to protect, guide, and provide for his flock. He watches over them with unwavering vigilance, ensuring that none go astray or fall into danger.
When one sheep is lost, the good shepherd leaves the ninety-nine to search diligently for the lost one,l. That is not a sign of weakness, but profound strength, love, and responsibility (Luke 15:4).
Jesus says, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27). A true relationship with the Lord is built on trust, intimacy, and mutual respect. As the Shepherd leads, the sheep must learn to listen, follow, and rest in His care.
If you sincerely desire the Lord to be your Shepherd, then you must learn to recognize His voice, obey His Word, and walk faithfully in line with His plans and purposes for your life. He knows the path ahead, even when you do not have a clue. Trusting Him daily brings peace, provision, and protection beyond human understanding.
