Day 3: He Makes Me Lie Down in Green Pastures
(Psalm 23:2a)

Green pastures symbolize abundance, peace, and spiritual nourishment. But God will only lead you to such restful places if you are willing to follow the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

Just like sheep must trust and submit to their shepherd, you must yield to God’s guidance to experience the fullness of His provision.

The Lord has promised, “I will give you rest.” This is not the restless sleep the world offers, nor a temporary escape from trouble, but a peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Jesus further assures us, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you.” (John 14:27).

When you surrender your plans, worries, and burdens, the Good Shepherd makes you lie down, not just stand or wander, but rest securely in places of abundance and refreshment. In Him, there is no striving, only stillness, obedience, work and satisfaction.
