“PUT ON THE FULL ARMOUR OF GOD”
(Ephesians 6:10-18)
As believers, we face a spiritual battle against forces that seek to destroy our faith and lives. But God has equipped us with the full armour we need to stand firm and victorious. (Just as soldiers wear protective metal armour, we must put on God’s spiritual armour for protection.)
Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, authorities, powers of this dark world, and spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Therefore, put on the whole armour of God so that on the day of evil you may stand your ground.
Buckle the belt of truth around your waist, wear the breastplate of righteousness, and fit your feet with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
Above all, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Put on the helmet of salvation, and wield the word of God as your sword of the Spirit.
