THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS WITHIN YOU
Jesus said without ambiguity: “The Kingdom of God is within you.”
This is perhaps the most overlooked truth, a secret that religion, in many ways, has compelled us to ignore, neglect, and abandon.
Jesus further declared:
“Behold, I stand at the door of your heart and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with them.”
What does this mean? It means that the Kingdom begins when we allow Christ to dwell within us, to transform our thoughts, renew our hearts, and create a new relationship with God.
“Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand,” was the central message of Jesus and John the Baptist.
The word repent does not merely mean to feel sorry for sin; it means to change the way you think.
Those who grasp this truth, Jesus said, are “taking the Kingdom by force” because nothing can stop a transformed mind. This same transformation happened to Paul, giving him greater understanding than those who physically walked with Jesus.
That is why Paul re-echoed:
“Be transformed by the renewal of your mind.” Change the way you think, and your world will be transformed.
When the disciples worried about what to eat or wear, Jesus answered:
“Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.”
Reflect. Meditate. Pray to understand this instruction. The Kingdom is not a distant reality, not a place to visit after death, it begins within you, here and now.
