THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS WITHIN YOU
(Luke 17:21)
The greatest challenge to our faith is not the devil, nor the trials of life, it is our own doubt and lack of absolute trust in God’s ability to show us mercy and grace, independent of our weaknesses.
So often, we cling to our filthy rags of self-righteousness, forgetting that Scripture already declares our righteousness to be nothing before God. Instead of resting in His love, we approach Him with ultimatums: “Lord, I have paid my tithe. I have served you faithfully. Why then am I still in lack, in sickness, or in shame? Where are You, O God?”
In doing this, we forget that God owes no man. The same God who spoke the world into being can raise stones to worship Him if we refuse. He is not a distant monarch seated coldly upon a faraway throne. He is Emmanuel—God with us.
If we truly believe that we are created in the image and likeness of God, then we must see ourselves not as mere humans striving for something spiritual, but as spiritual beings temporarily living out a human experience on earth.
Too many of us live like landlords of a beautiful mansion who, through ignorance, sleep in the servant’s quarters. We do not walk in the consciousness of who we are in Christ and what has already been given to us.
Jesus declared, “The kingdom of God is within you.” Yet we remain restless—looking to the skies, longing for some distant rapture,
Christ has already taught us to pray:
“Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” This means heaven’s reality can manifest here and now through us, if only we awaken to it.
So I ask you: Have you discovered the kingdom of God within you? Or are you still deaf to the gentle knock of Christ at the door of your heart?
Do you pray as a beggar before a distant God, or as a beloved child speaking to a loving Father? Do your prayers flow with complaints and demands, or with thanksgiving, trust, and the confidence of a co-heir of the kingdom?
The kingdom of God is not far away. It is a present reality, a state of consciousness within you, but only a transformed and renewed mind can access that state of consciousness. Open your heart. Live from that reality. Walk in the authority, peace, Joy and kingdom freely given to you by Christ.
