TO BELIEVE IS TO RELEASE, AND TO RELEASE IS TO TRUST

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
(Proverbs 3:5–6)

A farmer plants his seeds after preparing the soil, then goes home, believing that, in due time, the seeds will germinate, grow, and produce fruit.

He does not return to dig up the soil to see if the seed has rotted or started to grow. He has released it into the earth, trusting the right soil, the right season, and the right conditions.

That is faith in action. It’s a perfect image of the kind of trust God calls us to live by. Faith does not demand to see proof before believing. It simply believes, releases, and rests—knowing that the One who began a good work will surely bring it to completion.

When we truly trust God, we stop wrestling with the “how” and “when.” We let go of anxiety, fear, and impatience, because our confidence is no longer in ourselves but in His divine process.

This is why God declared, “I am a jealous God; you shall have no other gods before Me.” (Exodus 20:5).
To believe is to let go of self-reliance and release our hearts to His sovereign will.

Food for thought:
Faith is not proven by holding on tightly, but by releasing completely.

To believe is to let go.
To release is to trust.
And to trust is to rest in God’s unchanging faithfulness.
