THE GREATEST CHALLENGE OF CHRISTIANS TODAY
(Romans 12:3)
The greatest challenge facing Christians today is not persecution from the world, but competition within the body of Christ. Many believers have turned the sacred walk of faith into a contest of pride, comparison, and self-righteousness.
It has become common to see Christians argue over who is truly born again, which denomination is more prophetic, and which one is less spiritual, forgetting that we all serve the same Lord, profess the same faith, and pursue the same heavenly crown.
The Apostle Paul admonished us, saying: “Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but think of yourself with sober judgement, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.”
(Romans 12:3)
True Christianity is not about outshining one another, but about shining together as lights in a dark world. God has given each of us a measure of faith, grace, and calling, not for competition, but for complementation.
When love is replaced by rivalry, and humility gives way to pride, the Spirit of Christ is grieved. Let us, therefore, return to the simplicity of the gospel, to love without condition, serve without comparison, and walk humbly before our God.
Remember, heaven will not ask for your denomination, but for your relationship with Christ and the love you showed others.(Love God with all your heart and your neighbour as yourself)
So, beloved, let us pause and reflect: Are we building the kingdom, or competing for attention? Are we promoting Christ, or our own image?
