IN MY FATHER’S HOUSE THERE ARE MANY MANSIONS
Dwelling with Christ in the Now
(John 14:2–3; Revelation 3:20)
In my Father’s house are many mansions — many roles, responsibilities, and divine purposes. If it were not so, I would have told you. When Jesus spoke these words, He was referring not just to a distant heavenly abode, but to Himself as the true dwelling place of the Father.
“I go to prepare a place for you.” That was not merely a journey to heaven, but a mission to the cross. Through His sacrifice, Jesus prepared our inheritance in the Kingdom. Unless He went to fulfill that mission, we would have no share in the eternal promise.
“I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.” Upon His resurrection, Christ returned in Spirit to dwell within every believer. He stands at the door of every heart, knocking. If we open to Him, He and the Father come in and make their home within us.
When that happens, you begin to speak, think, work, and walk with Jesus in the now not as a future hope, but as a present reality.
When you become a kingdom citizen, you become a co-heir with Christ here on earth. Whatever happens after death is no longer the goal but the glorious bonus of a life already united with Him.
Food for thought:
The mansions in the Father’s house are not distant palaces, but the many places prepared for believers in the heart of Christ. Your mansion is the life you live with Him daily (your divine assignment, your spiritual calling, and your communion with the Father through the Son). The more you surrender to His will, the more space He creates within you for His glory to dwell.
