AVAILABLE BUT NOT VALUABLE
Bible Reflection: (2 Timothy 2:21)
“If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the Master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.”
There is a difference between being around God and being useful to God. Many people are available in the house of God, present in the activities of faith, and consistent in spiritual environments, yet their lives carry no spiritual weight.
Presence alone does not equal usefulness. A vessel can sit on the shelf for years, untouched and unnoticed, simply because it is not prepared for the Master’s purpose.
God does not only look for the willing. He looks for the refined and those who allow Him to work on their character, cleanse their motives, shape their habits, and align their desires with His will.
Value in the kingdom is not a product of outward activity, but inner transformation. God uses vessels of honour, not merely vessels of availability.
A person may attend every service, sing every song, or join every department, yet remain spiritually unprofitable because the heart is untouched, the mind is unchanged, and the will is unyielded.
But once a believer surrenders to God’s refining hand and the teachings of the Holy Spirit, purity is restored, clarity is renewed, and usefulness begins to rise.
God invests His grace where there is readiness and teachable minds that can uphold it
Do not settle for occupying space. Let God shape you into a vessel that carries His fragrance, His power, and His purpose. Availability becomes true value when it meets obedience, discipline, humility, and faithfulness
When God finds these qualities in a person, He lifts them, equips them, and sets them in places where His glory can shine through them.
