GUARDING YOUR HEART
Bible Reflection:
Proverbs 4:23
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
Your heart/subconscious mind, is the control room of your life. It is the place where thoughts are processed, decisions are birthed, faith is nurtured, and destiny is shaped.
Whatever enters your subconscious mind eventually shows up in your actions, words, habits, and results. That is why God says, “Above all else—guard it.”
Many people guard their money, their reputation, their work, their image, and even their phones with great seriousness, yet leave their hearts wide open to negative news, toxic conversations, destructive entertainment, discouraging environments, or relationships that drain their spirit.
A heart left unguarded becomes a battlefield of confusion.
Guarding your heart does not mean isolating yourself from the world. It means choosing what has access to your inner life, refusing to allow bitterness to settle in it, removing thoughts that weaken your confidence in God, blocking voices that plant fear and insecurity, and refusing to replay painful memories that resurrect emotional wounds.
The enemy knows that if he controls your heart, he controls your life. That is why he tries to fill it with doubt, heaviness, distraction, or discouragement.
But God strengthens your heart through His Word, His presence, and the right relationships.
When your heart is guarded, your mind grows peaceful, your decisions become clearer, your spiritual sensitivity increases, your confidence rises, and your purpose becomes stronger.
Guard your heart by guarding your focus, your conversations, and continually dwelling in God’s presence and feeding your spirit with truth daily.
Whatever you allow into your heart eventually becomes your reality. Choose wisely.
