A QUESTION WE MUST ALL ANSWER

“DO YOU WANT TO BE HEALED?” Jesus asked the crippled man at the Pool of Bethesda (John 5:1-15).

This question may seem simple, but it’s profound. Jesus was not just asking about physical healing but also about the man’s willingness to let go of his past, fears, and limitations.

The man had been crippled for 38 years, and his identity had become tied to his condition. Jesus’ question challenged him to consider whether he was ready to release his old life and embrace a new one.

This question is still relevant today. When we’re struggling with physical, emotional, or spiritual challenges, Jesus asks us: “Do you want to be healed?”

Do we want to be free from the burdens that weigh us down?
Do we want to release the past and step into a new future?
Do we want to surrender our fears and limitations to God’s power and love?

Jesus is always ready to heal and restore us. But first, we must answer His question: “Do you want to be healed?”
