BREAK THE RULES WITHOUT BREAKING THE LAWS
“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26
Laws are established to maintain order and justice in society. As believers and responsible citizens, we are called to obey them, for breaking the law makes one a criminal.
The Bible affirms this in Romans 13:1: “Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities.”
However, beyond laws, there are rules. Man-made traditions and norms that dictate how things should be done. These rules are not divine mandates but cultural constructs, often creating boundaries that limit creativity, progress, and innovation.
They keep people in a box called tradition, expecting conformity rather than transformation. (Be transformed by the renewal of your mind is our kingdom citizen mantra
Greatness is rarely achieved within the walls of comfort and convention. Every breakthrough you admire today came because someone dared to challenge the rules without dishonoring God or breaking the law.
To break the rules without breaking the laws requires:
- Courage – to stand against societal expectations.
- Vision –to see possibilities where others see barriers.
- Creativity & Hard Work – to find new ways where old ways fail.
- Grace of God – for wisdom and favor in the journey.
Joseph broke cultural expectations when he rose from a prisoner to a prime minister. Jesus Himself broke religious norms when He healed on the Sabbath, showing that the spirit of the law is greater than the letter.
Stop letting man-made traditions limit your God-given potential.*If the rules of man say, “You can’t,” and God says, “You can,” choose God’s Word! As you do this, you will break ceilings, rise above limitations, and silence the critics who cannot understand the grace upon your life.
