GOD WILL NOT GIVE YOU MORE THAN YOU ARE EQUIPPED TO HANDLE (John 16:12-14)
Jesus said to His disciples, “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear.” He withheld many things, but assured them that when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth as their understanding increases.
The role of the Holy Spirit is to:
- Reveal secrets hidden in the scriptures
- Speak only what He hears from God
- Tell you what is yet to come
- Glorify Jesus by receiving from Him and communicating to you
For the sake of God’s name, the Holy Spirit will reveal fresh ideas, teach, and guide you unto new understanding. (This promise is not limited to the disciples; it is also for us.)
Trust in the Holy Spirit’s guidance and wisdom, and know that God will not give you more than your present faith and understanding can handle.
