IF YOU CANNOT HEAR MAN, YOU CANNOT HEAR GOD

Bible Reflection
“Whoever listens to you listens to Me, and whoever rejects you rejects Me. Whoever rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me.”
Luke 10:16

Many people say they want to hear God, yet they shut their ears to the very voices God sends to them.

God rarely speaks to human beings in isolation. He created us to live in relationship, and He designed His guidance to flow through human interaction. That is why wisdom often comes through parents, friends, mentors, spouses, elders, and even strangers.

When God wants to correct, protect, or redirect a person, He often uses another person as His messenger.

Anger is one of the greatest enemies of spiritual hearing. When a person is angry, their emotions rise above their discernment. In that state, the mind becomes closed, the heart becomes hardened, and pride takes over.

#What feels like self-defence may actually be spiritual blindness. What feels like strength may be resistance to healing.

When someone tries to calm you, reason with you, or warn you in a moment of emotional intensity, it may not be an intrusion. It may be divine intervention.

God sends voices before He allows consequences. He sends counsel before a crisis. He sends corrections before the collapse.

Many people think God will speak with thunder and fire, yet He often speaks through gentle human voices. To ignore those voices is not independence. It is a disconnection from divine guidance.

Scripture teaches us that “in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.” God does not multiply counsellors to confuse us, but to preserve us. When you refuse correction, you are not just rejecting people. You may be rejecting God’s attempt to rescue you from yourself.

A heart that cannot listen cannot be led. A spirit that cannot be corrected cannot grow. Humility opens the ear, and a listening ear opens the way for divine direction.

God’s voice often comes wrapped in human words.
