KINGDOM MEASURES FOR EFFECTIVE PRAYERS
When the disciples asked Jesus, “Lord, teach us to pray” (Luke 11:1), it wasn’t because they didn’t know how to pray. They were Jews, and prayer was already a part of their culture and spiritual practice. They had been praying all their lives.
So why did they ask Jesus this question?
Because they observed something different about His prayers. Unlike theirs, His prayers produced results. He prayed and the sick were healed, the dead were raised, and storms obeyed His command. There was authority, alignment, and effectiveness in His prayers.
They realized that prayer was more than words. It was a connection to divine authority and kingdom order and they wanted that kind of power and result.
Jesus gave them a foundation for effective prayers saying:
“When you pray, ask our Father in heaven to cause His Kingdom to come in your life and let His will be done on earth as it is in heaven…” (Matthew 6:9-10)
When this connection is established, and your yoke is tied to heavenly powers, your burden becomes easy
