LETTING GO TO GROW
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” (Isaiah 43:18–19 NIV)
Growth always comes with a cost. A seed cannot become a tree unless it first lets go of its outer shell.
In the same way, there are things in our lives, habits, mindsets, even relationships, that must be surrendered so we can step into the fullness of God’s plan.
Isaiah reminds us, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past, because God is doing a new thing and holding on to yesterday’s pain, failures, or even successes can block our vision of what He wants to do today.
Letting go doesn’t mean we ignore our past. It means we refuse to let it define or limit us. It is a conscious decision to release bitterness, unforgiveness, regret, or unhealthy attachments into God’s hands.
It is a hard nut to crack, yet a secret path you must discover and walk for your spiritual growth to manifest.
