LISTEN MORE THAN YOU SPEAK AND BE SLOW TO ANGER (James 1:19-26)
“Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.” (James 1:19-20)
As the scripture reminds us, self-control is essential in our spiritual journey. If anyone considers themselves religious but fails to bridle their tongue, anger, and actions, they deceive their own heart, and their faith is worthless (James 1:26).
Mindfulness is the intentional act of choosing wisely from the multitude of thoughts and reasoning that our minds continually produce. Discernment, a rare and valuable virtue, enables us to navigate life’s complexities with wisdom and clarity.
