NEW WINE, NEW MINDSET
“Neither do people pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst, the wine will run out, and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.” Matthew 9:17
God is always releasing new wine. New visions, new assignments, new opportunities, and new levels of grace. Yet Heaven follows divine order.
What God pours must match the container that receives it.
New wine is alive. It expands. It carries pressure. It demands flexibility. An old wineskin may have once been useful, but it has become hardened by past experiences, disappointments, habits, and outdated thinking.
When new wine enters such a container, it does not last. It bursts the skin and both the wine and the vessel are lost.
This is why God cannot pour new purposes into an old mindset. A mind that has not been renewed cannot interpret what God is doing now. It will either misjudge it, resist it, or destroy it.
Many people pray for open doors while thinking with closed hearts. They ask for increase while reasoning with fear. They desire elevation while still carrying the patterns of the past.
The problem is not the availability of God’s blessing. The problem is the condition of the container. Your mindset is your wineskin. If it is filled with doubt, offence, old wounds, or limiting beliefs, it will not hold the expansion that divine purpose brings.
Scripture therefore instructs us, “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Transformation is not cosmetic. It is structural. God must reshape how you see, how you think, and how you respond before He enlarges what you receive.
To walk effectively in the Kingdom of God on earth, four forces must work together. Purpose gives direction. Planning gives structure. Preparation builds capacity. Prayer keeps alignment. When these four are in harmony, your life becomes a new wineskin, ready to receive and preserve everything God is releasing.
#God’s new wine is flowing. What determines how much you carry is not your prayer alone, but the condition of your mind.
