Day 2: I Shall Not Want
(Psalm 23:1b)
In the presence of the Lord, there is no lack, just as Jesus lovingly assured His disciples. When the Lord is your Shepherd, you have access to divine provision. He is Jehovah Jireh, our Great Provider, who sees our needs even before we speak them, and is always able to supply them in abundance.
The beautiful thing about having the Lord as your Shepherd is that His provisions are all-encompassing:
- He meets your physical needs such as food, shelter, clothing.
- He tends to your emotional wounds, offering comfort, hope, and peace.
- He nourishes your spirit by strengthening your faith and anchoring your soul.
With Him, you are made whole, able to journey through life with less stress and more assurance.
Jesus said, “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light” (Matthew 11:29–30).
Why then should you worry about what to eat, drink, or wear? (Matthew 6:25–34). #As long as the Lord remains your Shepherd, you shall not want.
