THE AERODYNAMICS OF YOKE
(2 Corinthians 6:14)
Being unequally yoked means that the two oxen are not equal in height and strength. When oxen are unequally yoked, they cannot plow or work well together.
In practical terms, the stronger ox will outwear the weaker one due to the asymmetric nature of the yoke. That may cause the weaker ox to faint or even die in its effort to keep pace with the strong ox.
The biblical admonition not to be “Unequally yoked with an unbeliever” warns that such an unequal yoke with an unbeliever, who has stronger willpower or influence than you, will compel you to compromise your faith to conform to their standard.

Yes, choose your friends among like minds to avoid negative peer influence that might compel you to fall out of faith.
