THE COMPANY YOU KEEP INFLUENCES YOUR DESTINY

Bible Reflection:
Proverbs 13:20
“He who walks with the wise shall become wise, but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.”

Every destiny rises or falls according to the relationships built and kept. God uses people to lift, guide, inspire, sharpen, and strengthen us. The devil also uses people to distract, weaken, confuse, and derail us.

This is why spiritual growth requires not only personal discipline, but the courage to evaluate the company you keep. You cannot grow into the future God prepared for you while surrounded by voices that drag you back to the proverbial Egypt.

You cannot develop new habits while entertaining old negative influences. You cannot think like a king while walking closely with those who enjoy life in the slum and the dungeon.

Relationships are powerful because they shape the decisions we make, and those decisions shape our destiny.
Some people feed your spirit.
Some drain it.
Some multiply your strength.
Some leak your energy.
Some help your gift grow.
Some bury it with envy or criticism.
Some increase your faith.
Some increase your fears.

It is wisdom, not pride, to step back from relationships that weaken you. When God prepares you for a higher season, He often separates you from anything that can sabotage your next level. Let go without regret.

Jesus loved everyone, but He chose His twelve.
Ruth honoured many, but followed Naomi.
Paul refused companionship that could hinder his mission.
Growth demands clarity about who walks with you.

Some people are meant for your heart, not your journey. Some are meant for your past, not your future. Some are divine connections, and some are silent delay.

Choose wisely.
Walk with those who challenge you to grow.
Walk with those who believe in your potential.
Walk with those who pull you upward, not downward.
Walk with those who remind you of who you’re becoming, not who you used to be.

Food for Thought: Who in your circle strengthens your growth, and who silently weakens it?
