THE DANGER OF SEEKING BACKUP POWERS
(Exodus 20:3-5, Psalm 117:8)

As Christians, it’s alarming to hear some believers advocate for seeking “Backup powers” for self-protection. They claim that every successful person needs extra protection, especially in business.

However, this mindset is not only ridiculous but also contradictory to Christian values.

Relying on man-made gods or secret societies for protection leads to idolatry and disfavour with God. The Bible warns, “I, your God, am a Jealous God… thou shall have no other God besides me” (Exodus 20:3-5)

Seeking backup powers demotes you from being a faithful Christian to a mere “churchgoer and idol worshiper.” When you die, the church may give you a dignified burial, but the fate of your soul remains uncertain.
