THE HARVEST IS PLENTIFUL BUT THE WORKERS ARE FEW
(Matt 9: 27-28, Matt 4:19)
Jesus in His infinite wisdom said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest.”
In that context, Jesus was referring to humans who in His eyes were lost sheep in search of shepherds. (Those we see and condemn as sinners, Jesus sees them as a vast spiritual harvest waiting to be saved)
We are fond of condemning and judging others rather than seeing them with compassion and stepping in as willing harvesters for God (Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men)
