THE HEAVENLY RACE

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.
Progress in life and financial breakthrough do not thrive on symbolism alone. They require deliberate application of work to faith and timely action in whatever field of life we find ourselves.
Diligence is indispensable, yet caution must never harden into a fear that paralyses initiatives, projects and ideas.
Too often, terrifying images of hell fire are used to scare Christians rather than to teach them and heaven is used as a palliative for those who fail to make progress here on earth.
Allegory and stories are valuable in teaching, but they should guide, rather than block our spiritual growth. Our collective energy is far better invested in measurable progress than in endless philosophical debate over heavenly things we know little or nothing about.
When we talk a lot about the word of God, but do nothing about the principles and application, the very conversation meant to uplift us can become the obstacle to advancement.
A wise farmer indeed digs deep, but true wisdom is also proven in knowing when to plant, when to act, and when to harvest. Progress demands both depth of faith and thought, and the courage to execute.
