THE JOURNEY TO FREEDOM (Part 5)
Applying Knowledge, Wisdom, Understanding, and Work to Faith
(Proverbs 4:7; James 2:17; John 8:31–32)
Freedom in Christ is not just an emotional encounter—it is a daily walk of growth, responsibility, and transformation. Deliverance brings you out of Egypt, the wilderness trains you, and renewal of the mind removes Egypt from you. But lasting freedom requires that you apply knowledge, wisdom, understanding, and work to your faith.
Knowledge is the truth you uncover in God’s Word. Jesus declared: “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (John 8:32). Without knowledge, we remain ignorant, repeating the same cycles of error.
Wisdom is the correct application of that truth. Hearing the Word is not enough—you must live it out. As Scripture reminds us, “Wisdom is profitable to direct” (Ecclesiastes 10:10).
Understanding brings clarity of purpose. It helps you discern God’s will in specific situations and avoid repeating the mistakes of the past.
Work is the outward fruit of your faith. James boldly reminds us: “Faith without works is dead” (James 2:17). True faith reveals itself in obedience, service, perseverance, and righteous action in everyday life.
When these four dimensions come together, freedom becomes practical and visible. Your faith matures, your life bears evidence of transformation, and what was once theory becomes reality.
At this stage, Jesus’ promise shines forth: “If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed” (John 8:36). True freedom is walking in Kingdom understanding, no longer enslaved by fear, sin or self, but living as a child of God, fully equipped to fulfil destiny.
