THE LAMP, THE WICK AND THE OIL
(Math 25:1-13, 1 Corinth 3:16)
At that time, the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. The foolish five took their lamps but did not take any oil with them, while the wise five took oil in jars along with their lamps. (Parable of the 10 virgins)
The lamp represents our bodies, the temple of the Holy Spirit. (You are the light of the world)
The wick represents our spirits, which connect us to God. (Each time we loose contact our connectivity burns out like the wick of a lamp without oil)
The oil represents the Holy Spirit, who fuels and empowers us. (The Holy Spirit shall teach and remind you all things)
Just as a lamp needs oil to burn brightly, we need the Holy Spirit to shine forth as children of God.

Our spirit is the candle of the Lord, which is so the wick. As long as the oil is supplied the wick will keep burning..
I also know the wick burns out at a point. Does it get replaces or does it signify end of life?
