THE POWER OF RESILIENCE AND PERSISTENCE
The Story of the Persistent Greek Woman (Matthew 15:21-28, Mark 7:24-30)
When Jesus seemed to dismiss her plea, referring to her as a “dog,” the Greek woman could have taken offense. Instead, she persevered.
‘Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table,’ she humbly replied. (Matthew 15:27)
Jesus, moved by her resilience, reversed His initial response and instantly healed her daughter.
When we take offense and walk away in pride, we miss out on opportunities due to hurt feelings or anger.
Resilience overcomes initial rejection, and persistence leads to a breakthrough while Humility and determination can move mountains
Choose perseverance over pride; do not let the offense hold you back. Press on, even when faced with setbacks
