“THE UNMERITED FAVOUR OF GOD”
(Ephesians 2:8-9)
Life is not about achieving a certain grade or status, but about receiving the unmerited favor of God. It’s not about how hard we labour or strive, but about trusting in God’s goodness and mercy.
As the Bible says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
This verse reminds us that our salvation and blessings come not from our own efforts, but from God’s gracious favour. It’s not about what we do, but about what God has done for us.
“But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our wrong doings, made us alive together with Christ, and by grace you have been saved” (Ephesians 2:4-5)
Learn to rely on God’s mercy and favour each time you have applied the needed work, strength and abilities.
