IF YOU REMAIN IN ME
(John 15:7–8; John 16:23–24)
“If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.”
The principle of remaining in Christ is the foundation of answered prayer and fruitful living. Jesus did not present prayer as a mechanical formula but as a relational outcome. The condition is clear: “Abiding in Him = Relationship
In every relationship, reciprocity sustains functionality. True fellowship is never parasitic; it is symbiotic. God pours His life into us, and in turn, our obedience, faith, and fruitfulness glorify Him.

A rebellious child seldom asks his father for help. Pride, arrogance, and the foolish pursuit of independence create distance. In the same way, a branch cannot survive apart from the vine, a fish cannot thrive outside of water, and a plant cannot flourish outside of soil. Once the connection is broken, life begins to wither.
So it is in our walk with Christ. Disconnection leads to spiritual death, no matter how capable or self-sufficient we think we are. We cannot expect to harvest where we have not planted. We cannot expect answers to prayers we do not believe will be granted.
Abiding in Christ is both a privilege and a responsibility. His words anchor us, His Spirit empowers us, and His presence sustains us.
When we live in this relationship, asking in His name flows naturally, and so does receiving, because it glorifies the Father. Win@today
