YOU ARE NOT THE LIGHT OR THE SALT OF HEAVEN
(Matthew 5:13 – 16)

“You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again?” (Matthew 5:13)
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” (Matthew 5:14)
Jesus didn’t say, “You will be the salt of heaven” or “the light of heaven.” In heaven, there is no darkness to light up and no decay to preserve.
Salt and light are earthly assignments for Kingdom citizens.
Salt enhances flavour, preserves food from decay, and symbolises covenant loyalty (Leviticus 2:13)
Light reveals what is hidden, drives away darkness, and illuminates your path. Your life is meant to expose evil, inspire hope, and direct others to kingdom understanding
Salt that loses its taste is thrown away. Light that is hidden benefits no one.
The question is: what kind of salt and light are you right now?
Are you speaking life and encouragement to the weary, and bringing godly influence wherever you go?
