YOU ARE THE LIGHT AND SALT OF THE EARTH
(Matt. 5:13-16)

You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? (Salt enhances flavor, preserves from decay, and symbolizes spiritual covenants.)

YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a basket. Instead, they place it on a stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. (Let your light so shine before others, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.)

What kind of salt and light are you? Are you bringing flavor, preservation, and illumination to the lives around you? Are you a motivator, an influencer, and a light to others here on earth? Or are you waiting to go to heaven to be their salt and light?
