NOT ALL BATTLES ARE WORTH FIGHTING
(Proverbs 26:4–5; Ecclesiastes 3:7–8)
He who fights for an ignorant people is like one who sets himself on fire to light the way for the blind.
Some battles look noble but drain the spirit. Some causes appear just but lack God’s direction.
The Scripture warns: “Do not answer a fool according to his folly, lest you also be like him. Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own eyes.” (Proverbs 26:4–5).
This is not a call to pride or silence, but to wisdom. There is a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time for war and a time for peace (Ecclesiastes 3:7–8). Only through the Spirit can we know which moment we stand in.
When God is not part of the battle, even a victory becomes heavy to bear. But when He leads, even a retreat carries honour.
True courage is not in endless fighting, but in discerning when to fight and when to let peace speak for you.
Food for thought:
Let the heart that seeks righteousness also seek understanding. For wisdom often whispers where anger shouts, and peace stands where pride falls.

Let the heart that righteousness also seek wisdom.
It’s wisdom that directs the rightly part of righteousness: when you understand the secret within that which seems to be alright to you.
Do not fight hastily, lest thou know not what to do in the end, when thy neighbor has put you to shame.
Wisdom whispers, and anger shouts
But silence is the best answer to the circumstances of odds, till the day sourt it out by self.
Thanks and more grace
