THE GIFT YOU MUST PROTECT
Bible Reflection (1 Timothy 4:14)
“Neglect not the gift that is in thee…”
Every believer carries a gift placed by God. Some gifts are visible and celebrated. Others are quiet, subtle, and easily overlooked. Yet both the great and the small carry divine purpose. God never sends a person into the world empty. He equips each one with something that reflects His nature and advances His kingdom.
“I know the plans I have for you… plans to prosper you and not to harm you.” God’s intention has always been to match your assignment with your gifting.
Your gift may be compassion, wisdom, creativity, leadership, teaching, writing, intercession, encouragement, or excellence in your work. But whatever it is, it is sacred. It is a trust. And every trust must be protected.
Do not limit your understanding of wealth to money alone. Your greatest wealth is the gift God placed within you.
Gifts do not die. People abandon them. Gifts do not lose power. People stop nurturing them. Gifts do not fade. They simply go unused. Until you discover and pursue your purpose, the gift within you will remain dormant.
The enemy does not fear your presence; he fears your purpose. He knows that once you activate your gift, heaven’s assignment over your life begins to manifest. This is why distractions arise, why fear creeps in, and why comparison tries to shrink your confidence.
Anything that weakens your gift weakens your impact.
To protect your gift, you must nurture it. Feed it with the Word. Sharpen it with practice. Strengthen it with discipline. Surround yourself with people who bring out the best in you, not those who silence your potential.
Respond to your instincts, for God often opens doors through small acts of obedience.
You are responsible for the treasure God placed within you. You cannot wait for perfect conditions before you use it. Begin where you are. Grow with what you have.
Faithfulness multiplies gifts. Neglect buries them. Take that first step in faith even when the staircase is not visible.
Food for Thought: What gift has God placed in you that needs attention, discipline, and intentional nurturing?
