THE PURCHASING POWER OF FAITH
(Faith is the currency of the spirit; spend it with purpose.)
Matthew 17:20 – “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
Purchasing power is the value of a currency expressed in terms of the goods and services that one unit of money can buy. A nation’s economic strength is often reflected in how stable its currency is in the world market. Currencies backed by gold or valuable reserves are strong and reliable, while those printed without proper backing or regulation soon lose their worth.
In the same way, faith without substance and action loses its power. Many believers speak about faith, confess it, and even declare it loudly, yet without obedience and good works, that faith becomes weak and unproductive. It is like a currency without gold backing, plenty in appearance but empty in value.
God has given every believer a measure of faith, a divine currency with limitless potential. How we use this faith determines its purchasing power. Some only use their faith in moments of crisis, while others live by faith daily, exercising it in prayer, sowing it in love, and strengthening it through obedience.
Your faith can remain as small as a mustard seed, or you can nurture it until it becomes a mighty tree that provides shade and fruit for others. The more you apply your faith in everyday life, the stronger it becomes. Faith grows with use, just as wealth grows through wise investment.
Remember, heaven responds to active faith, faith that believes, speaks, and acts. The choice is yours. You can let your faith remain idle, or you can make it a living currency that opens doors, heals hearts, and transforms destinies.
